Sound healing harnesses the vibrations of instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other instruments to facilitate meditation and deep relaxation. These acoustic frequencies interact with our nervous system, activating our body's natural relaxation response while reducing stress.
The frequencies produced by singing bowls and other instruments can align with our brain wave patterns, deepening our mind-body awareness. This harmonization helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system – our "rest and digest" mode – which may lead to better sleep, reduced heart rate, enhanced energy conservation, and mental tranquility.
